Proxy Pal

Page history last edited by Geof Duncan 9 years, 3 months ago

ProxyPal is an excellent piece of freeware from http://bartdart.com. ProxyPal is a simple application that allows you to quickly turn the proxy settings on or off. Please note that ProxyPal is not recommended by WCPSS Tech Services. It is, however, a useful time-saver which even many of the tech services staff appreciate.

You can obtain ProxyPal from the publisher's website (above) or from this wiki. Or you can simply click the link here and install.

Once installed, follow the steps below to use ProxyPal.

  1. Open Internet Explorer and choose Tools > ProxyPal

  2.  A small pop-up will appear that tells you whether you have Enabled or Disabled the proxy.

Enable the proxy when you are ON CAMPUS and want to view sites that do not end in .wcpss.net. Disable the proxy when you are OFF CAMPUS and want to view sites that do not end in .wcpss.net.
  3. Click the OK button to begin surfing normally.
