Step 6: Advanced Studies in PBworks
Tip 2: Clean up your right panel
The default PBworks workspace has several elements that tend to clutter the page in my opinion. Once you've upgraded your workspace, you have control over some of those elements.
STEP 1: Change your Settings
- Use the Settings link at the top of your workspace to make changes to your workspace
- The first page of Settings you can change are the Basics
- Note that you can change the Title of your workspace into something more meaningful than just gduncankhs ....
- The first thing, I do is to disable Commenting. I don't really want anyone commenting on my workspace. Click on Workspace Security under ACCESS CONTROLS and uncheck Disable commenting for readers
- Next, click on Customization under the ADVANCED SETTINGS section of your Settings.
- There are a lot of settings here which can be changed - the images below show how I've customized my gduncankhs.pbworks.com workspace.
- Unchecking the "Show Recent workspace activity" finally gets rid of the "Recent Activity" list which was driving me crazy.
- Don't forget to Save your changes when your done!!
- Again, if you have not upgraded your workspace to the WCPSS Campus edition, then the Customization link will not be in your settings.
