Enable Proxy Settings

You should enable proxy settings when you are ON CAMPUS and want to go to a site that does not end in .wcpss.net. Follow the steps below to enable the proxy

 

  1. Open Internet Explorer

  2. Go to Tools > Internet Options

  3. Click on the Connections Tab and Press the LAN Settings Button 

  4. Make sure both the Use a proxy server for your LAN and Bypass proxy server for local addresses boxes are checked as shown below. Press the Advanced button.

  5. Make sure the address proxy.wcpss.net, port 8080 is typed in each box. Make sure the Use the same proxy server for all protocols box is checked.

    • You MAY have to enter in *.wcpss.net;10.* into the Do not use proxy server for addresses beginning with: box.
  6. Press OK and you should now be able to surf the web normally.
